Birthday Party

The weather was perfect for a Friday afternoon backyard birthday party.  It was just the boys from his class plus a few other friends.
Baseball Obstacle Course Jumpy
Sweaty Boys
The cake
McClain, Bo and Brady
Silly String Fight!
Cal getting attacked by the little boys
I love this, even if he is looking to the side
The favors- Cracker Jacks, sunflower seeds and gum

We asked Brady if it was a good birthday.  He said, "it was AWESOME"!

Happy 6th Birthday Brady

Brady was the "Star of the Week" last week.  We had to take in his picture poster on Monday.
On Tuesday he was allowed to have a special reader, so Matt's mom went.
Wednesday was show and tell day and his actual birthday.  He wanted to take donuts for the class as his special snack.  He took a football and his Tom Brady Patriots jersey.  The jersey of course says "Brady" on the back.
Thursday he was allowed another special reader, so Cal went down to read.
Friday the class gave him a special "Star Book".  It is a book that has a picture each child has drawn and a sentence about what their favorite thing about Brady is.  We also had his birthday party here at the house after school Friday.

The boys had baseball practice on Wednesday, but we were able to go eat at Brady's favorite Japanese restaurant for "the show" after practice.
It only took 6 years, but he is getting the hang of smiling for the camera

The boys doing tambourine's.  Helping out with the birthday song.
I missed the picture of the people singing and the gong!
Blowing out the candle on his pineapple fruit boat

HAPPY EASTER

Easter fell on the last weekend of our Spring Break (which we spent in Atlanta and Orange Beach).  We had to be back for church since Matt and I are teaching Cal's class right now.  After church we went to Matt's parents house for Shrimp and Grit's made with shrimp we brought back from the beach.
"the boys"
"the four of us"
"boys with Grandmother and Granddaddy"

little plant Cal brought home from school
We did dye eggs, just Easter night.
Better late than never
They are supposed to look like "tie dye"
Always so excited to get a chocolate bunny in his basket
This just made me laugh because he was still 1/2 asleep looking at his basket
Can you bring me my basket over here on the sofa? :)

A New Sport

Cal played basketball this winter and he LOVED it!  He is certainly tall enough to be a basketball player, so we are so excited that he found this sport and loves it so much.  He spends any free time he has out playing in the driveway.

This is the last game and he played awesome defense as well as scored 10 points.  Two other little boys also had 10 points this game.  By the last couple of games each boy on the team was able to score.
He puts his arms up and waits for it to go in.
We had the snack for the last game
Cal and our neighbor Carter.  Carter's dad and Matt coached the team together.  They had so much fun!  We were sort of sad for the season to end, but have moved on to baseball season.

I'll give Brady a shout out for going to Cal's practices and getting pretty good himself.  I think he had the most points scored one night at practice.

Happy Valentine's Day

Just to let my boys know that they have an awesome mom.  They both ate chocolate for breakfast on Valentine's Day.
I am not even sure he is awake, but he is eating breakfast!
Brady with his first pick.

I love that Brady still made a Valentine Box.  Cal's class just made bags in class one day.
I love his box
All the boxes.  Check out the Pinterest Robot Box.
It is blurry, but he was actually smiling, so I will post it
Bo, Brady and Perrson.  Brady's favorite buddies
This is Cal trying to get marshmallows from one cup into another with a straw.  The whole class thought this was so fun!
Cal's table

They got out on Thursday after their parties for a long 4 day weekend.  I think everyone was ready for a break and it should give us just what we needed to get us to Spring Break.

Cal will finish up basketball this week and they both have baseball tryouts on Thursday night.  Once baseball starts we will be living at the ball field until May.

What We Have Been Up To

I am still not doing a great job at getting pictures posted in a timely manner.  Here is a quick glance at what we have been doing since New Year's.
We went to Disney over MLK weekend with my sister and her family.
Brady was in a picture funk the whole weekend and Chip and Dale were the only characters he was interested in getting a picture with.
Brady, Cal and Kendall all painted up at Hollywood Studios

We had our first "Science" project.  Cal picked Saturn.  We had to make the mobile at home, but he did all the research at school.
Some of the others in the class.  Look how fun the Sun is.
Matt and I dressed up for a 40th birthday party/"80's Prom"
It was so much fun and the couple did a great job with all the details!
I thought this was funny.  Not sure if one of my boys or one of the neighborhood boys did this, but I'm just thankful the figure didn't fit all the way down in the bottle.

Possible ER visit in my future

WWE............plus 2 boys...............equals possible ER visit in my future!
Oldest son now strong enough to lift brother almost over his head.  Younger brother thinks this is awesome!  They watch then practice the moves.  They also think it is funny that it scares their sweet mom!
This is on at my house at all times if the oldest son is in charge of TV.
Santa brought these awesome guys.  I am hoping they will try some moves with these figures and not on each other.  A mom can hope!
