A Special Easter

As I said in the last post, Easter was also Brady's birthday this year.  I love Easter and it seemed really sweet to have Brady's birthday on such a special day.  The boys woke up really early to see what the Easter Bunny had brought them.

Always excited to get a chocolate bunny

This is what he is eating for breakfast!

He got a bike for his birthday from Matt and I.
He will tell you the Easter Bunny brought it to him.

Dancing to his new CD.  This is one of the boys/Cal's favorite things to do.  Put in a CD and dance in our foyer.  They plug in that little CD player and go to town!

The fun had to end so we could go to church.
Both boys were to be in linen shirts and shorts, but Saturday I realized Cal's shirt was missing.  He wore it the last night we were on our Disney cruise in Nov., then we came home and moved a week later.  Who knows where the linen shirt is?  So he is in a polo, which didn't really make me happy, but it worked.

Again, best we could do with Brady!  We took A LOT of pictures!

Here is where I am going to document that Brady is THE BEST BROTHER IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
Brady asked Matt's mom for these 2 Webkinz.  Cal also wanted Tiger Tiger.  Brady agreed if he got them both he would give Cal his Tiger Tiger.  Matt and I tried to talk Brady out of it.  He said he wanted Cal to have it.  Going to have to remind Cal in October of this and let Brady pick one of his gifts.
Yes, this is us dying eggs on Easter, AFTER lunch.  I thought I was going to be able to get by without dying eggs this year.  I had bought the stuff, but didn't really want to dye eggs.  I made it until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night when Matt and the boys got home from playing golf with some friends.  Cal's friend Will told him he was going home to dye eggs!  It was too late by this point in time and Matt's mom had said if they thought about it we could do it at her house, so here we are.

I do have to say that this kit was awesome.  It came with bags to drop each egg down into and then you dropped the dye in and moved the egg around.  NO MESS!

A Hunting for Eggs We Will Go

This year Brady's 4th Birthday feel on Easter.  He was so excited about all things Easter this year because he thought it somehow related to his birthday.  I am having a terrible time keeping up with my blogging these days.  I am going to try to catch up somehow????  His school birthday is tomorrow and his birthday party is on Sunday.

Here is Brady's class egg hunt.

How cute are these bunny cupcakes and carrot veggie garden boxes?
The mom who made these wins the party mom gold star!  She also made each child a goodie bag!

Here is Cal's class egg hunt.

Looking for all the #1 eggs!

Not sure if you can see really well, but the white basket in the middle has grapes on a skewer with a peep on the top.  How cute is that?  The basket on the right has Cheetos in cone shapped bags to look like carrots!

Let the Sac Races Begin.  The boys went then the girls and then the boy winner raced the girl winner.

About to start the egg in the spoon races!

Here are some pictures from our neighborhood egg hunt.

Cal, Brady and Will pre-hunt

Brady waiting behind his brother so nicely.  Cal and Will having a little basket fight.
The age groups were 1-3 and 4-6 year olds.  Since Brady was just shy of 4 by a day, he decided to hunt with Cal and Will.

Brady-

"What did you get?"

As good as it gets these days with Brady.  He is making me crazy refussing to look at the camera!

Cal LOVES him some Reese!

Brady wants G to be part of our family.  That may be what he told the bunny.

Biscuits and Raspberries

Cal's baseball team went to see our local AA baseball team the Montgomery Biscuits.  They are doing something with the little league teams this year called Biscuit Buddies.  The little league teams go and get to meet a player before the game and get a ball signed and a picture taken then at the end of the game the boys are allowed to run the bases.  Matt and Cal did not stay to run the bases, it was Masters Sunday and really hot here.  Cal met the catcher and he hit a homerun his first time up to bat.

I'll have to look up his name, in case he gets to move up to the Majors

On another note, my boys LOVE berries.  I buy my blue berries, black berries and raspberries at Costco.  They boys will finish up a whole container the second I wash them.  I had washed some raspberries the other night and the next thing I know, Brady is up on the counter eating them.  He and Matt then started playing a game, where Matt was trying to get Brady to share and feed him a few.  Sorry Daddy, Brady was not in the mood to share his berries!

Sweet little hands and feet

Daddy, do you want one?
He would pretend to let Matt take a bite
Then, quickly put it in his mouth
ALL GONE!

The Masters & My Picture With Tiger

Matt and I were so excited to have been asked to go to Augusta with some friends this year.  Jeff had tickets to the Tuesday practice round.  We left Monday night and made it to Madison, GA (about an hour outside Augusta).  Tuesday morning, we headed out at 7:30 a.m. because the gates open at 8:00 a.m. and we had been told that to see the "big names" you needed to be there early because they head out early.  That was not the case this year, because a horrible storm (questionable tornado) had come through Monday night and the power was out across parts of Augusta.  Gates did not open until 8:45 and when we made it to the course there were only a hand full of players out.  It was really windy and chilly!  We were laughing because we looked like hobo's with the amount of layers we had on (and Rosemary and I were in rainboots)!  We give Jeff and Matt HUGE POINTS for Rosemary and I.  A few of their golf buddies would have happily gone in our place!  The first person we came across was Sergio Garcia.
