Easter Egg Hunts

Both boys had their Easter Egg Hunt's today.  They were at 2 different places with 30 minutes in between the start times, so I had to hussle, but I made it to both parties.  I have started a post on Spring Break Part II, but have not finished, but had to post these pictures, so stay tuned for Spring Break Part II.

One of my favorite things in the whole world........little bare feet in the grass............Cal's feet are really not little, but still sweet!

Pics from Cal's party

This is Cal and Neva.  Neva has replaced Avery from last year!

So proud.  He had found all his eggs.  They had to find eggs only with a certain # on them so everyone had the same #.

Spring Break - Part I

The boys were out of "school" for Spring Break this week.  Brady who is not really into going to school right now, doesn't know what Spring Break means, except for the fact he gets to stay home with mommy; which is exactly where he wants to be.  Cal is starting to get the Spring Break thing and could not wait for Spring Break to start.  We kicked off Spring Break last Friday night by letting the boys each rent a movie.  We had a nice relaxing weekend then Monday a.m. hit and Cal said he was ready for Spring Break (he was ready to go to Atlanta)!!!!!  We had to stay here in Montgomery this week because we will be in Atlanta all next week.  Atlanta will be their Spring Break Part II, so this week I have been trying to make sure they had some sort of fun each day.

Monday - Not sure this would qualify as "fun" for everyone, but we did family dentist day.  I guess when Granddaddy and Daddy are your dentist, it is sort of fun.  Cal went first and repeatedly said, "I love this place" "This is awesome"!  I went next, can't say that I had as much excitement as Cal did.  Brady went next (sort of).  Cal went right after he turned 3 and has loved it each time he goes (he also loves to get his hair cut).  Brady is about to turn 3 and is not as excited about getting his hair cut or it appears going to the dentist.  Matt did get him in the chair and did get a quick look in his mouth.  We left the dentist and headed to get mommy a Starbucks.  Starbucks just happens to be by the Cookie Co. (aka... the cookie store) and the book store, so getting a cookie and spending a nice amount of time at the bookstore is actually our Spring Break treat of the day.

Tuesday - We woke up and headed to Birmingham to see my friend Paige and her two little ones.  Brady and Walt are the same age and Cal loves babies, but he was just excited about a "ROAD TRIP"!!!!  I had just learned about a Lego Store in Birmingham and the boys love Lego's, so this is our day's high-light.  We played at Paige's for a couple of hours before making the boys leave to go to the mall for lunch.  We ate lunch then took a spin on the merry go round.  Cal rode a tiger, Brady a giariffe, and Walt an elephant.  We then headed to the Lego store and spent a good hour.  We then walked through the Disney store.  There were a few activities at the end of the mall so we headed to check them out.  Cal did the Euro Bungy then we did some simulated car thing.  A cookie for the road and we headed home.  We ended the day with dinner and building Lego's with Daddy.

Wed. - Happy St. Patrick's Day - We didn't do anything festive???????  We did find one little friend who was not going to the beach until this afternoon, so Cal did get to have a fun playdate.

Thursday - We went to Pump It Up for free jump this a.m. and it was a zoo.  Too many people, but the boys had a blast and I was able to reserve a spot for Brady's birthday party in April.  My sweet baby who since his brother's birthday in October has been asking when his Batman / Pump It Up party would be.  Sweet Love, you just have one more month!  We got home to eat some lunch when Cal's best friends mommy called to see if Cal could come play.  They were home from skiing and ready to play.  The boys had a great time because they got to do a "double play date".  They love it when they get to play at both houses in one day.  They did Will's house first then came back to our house.   We decided to go out to eat and Will went with us.  A balloon man was at the restaurant and he made them helmet's and swords.

Friday - Cousin Jack and Cousin Will were in town, so we took a trip to the zoo.  Literally the zoo was a ZOO!!!!!  Only pretty day of Spring Break and everyone else had the same idea we had.  We waited in line to get in, we waited in line at for the train and Matt's mom had to wait in line for everyone a lemonade.  Mommy needed caffine when we finally left, so we headed straight for Starbucks, but passed a McDonald's first, so I took a leap of faith and ordered a Frappe from there and it was actually really good.  It did the trick and I was revived by the time we got home so I could pack until bed.

Sat. - Spring Break Part II begins.
