Father/Son Bonding

January has brought some fun father/son bonding time for Cal and Matt.  They were able to go hunting with some friends several weeks ago and they had a great time.  They saw 3 deer and Cal got to shoot at one, but he was too far away.
They were supposed to go this past Saturday too, but we had a lot of rain and wind (and it was 70 degrees-not the best hunting weather).  Hunting season is only one more weekend, so hopefully they can go one day this week/weekend.

We went to Atlanta over MLK weekend.  It worked out that the Monster Truck Show was also in Atlanta that weekend.  Cal had been asking to go.  He had heard about it from a friend in his class.  Cal and Matt were just 2 of a sold out 70,000 people.  It appears that Monster Trucks have a "following".  Who knew?

Matt and Cal in front of Grave Digger

I think this guy is the original driver of Grave Digger

Another truck show fact: the crowd wants the truck to flip and fall apart

This is Grinder- the 2nd favorite after Grave Digger

Grave Digger has light-up eyes

Loving that the new year is bringing some good family time.

The JOY of Christmas

I am going to try to clump the whole month of December into one post.  We have had the best Christmas break and are going to be so sad for it to end tomorrow when Matt goes back to work and then the boys go back to school on Wed.  We started off Dec. with our visit with Santa.
I love this Santa's face :)

And decorated gingerbread cookies with silly Christmas tree hats

Picture Brady took of us before Matt's office party

And of course Jolly was here (Sending Matt to therapy-he hates the elf)

Cal got to dress up for school one day-he wanted LOTS of Jingle Bells

Harrison, Taylor and Cal at their class party
Cal fell in love with "oreo balls" at this party
I tried to make them and am not patient enough, so am going to have to find someone to make them for him next year

Brady at his class party-the cookie he made

Brady, Payne, John Parker and Sarah Morgan before their Christmas program

They all have Jesus in their hearts-Brady's favorite part-he is on the 2nd row
**I did get a camera lens for Christmas so I will be able to zoom in now**

His favorite people-Mason and Garrison

We went to Atlanta to see Dot Dot

Our fingernails are the same color red

And Mimi was here for Christmas
I wish I had taken a picture of Mimi with Luigi-he loved her

Christmas Morning

Cal's favorite gifts were the X-BOX  and his new bike
So excited, he was able to ride 2 miles the other day while I jogged

Brady's favorite was his spark scooter (just like the one brother got for his birthday back in Oct)
Really this kid is easy, he likes everything :)

I-pod touches (really mine and Matt's old i-phones turned into their new toys)

Skyping with cousin Kendall and aunt Kristy

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner with Matt's parents and Mimi

Granddaddy, Cal, Brady and Matt playing the game Headbands

A few things that gave me JOY this Christmas (other than getting to celebrate Jesus)
My glittery JOY sign and sequins........I LOVE SEQUINS
Here are 3 of my favorite shirts (black, new burgandy and silver)
I love December, I can wear sequins with jeans just because!

This cute J.Lo for Khol's dress
Wore it to a Christmas Party and it was really cute

And the pretty new necklace my sweet husband surprised me with

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
