Christmas Eve and Christmas

We went to Christmas Eve service at our church then headed over to Matt's parent's for Christmas Eve dinner and CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!!!!!!! The boys could not wait to open their first Christmas presents. They had presents from Matt's parents and from Matt's grandmother (Mimi). Here they are with their first present.

Aunt Kristy bought us these cute p.j.'s

Here is the big gift.......4 wheelers........

Off they go, no shoes or jackets, but whatever.....

Glorious

Cal was a Shepard in his school Christmas program. It was seriously the cutest program I have ever seen. I guess I am a little biased???? All the children did a great job. Cal had a singing part with about 5 other children then he had a speaking part all by himself. His line was "that music from heaven was GLORIOUS!" As he was saying Glorious he sort of bent down then raised both his arms up. It was so cute!

Decorating

The boys decorated the tree first this year (I did the top 1/2 after they were done). I literally sat on the sofa and watched (they were so excited I just had to let them do it themselves). I want Cal to know (in case this is in a scrapbook one day) that I tried to put the tree in the den this year and he had an hour long meltdown until we moved the tree back into the room it has been in every other year of his life. Matt being a sweet daddy did move the tree during half-time of his football game. Not sure if you can see that there are actually like 4 ornaments to a branch at the bottom.

Here are the boys crayola gingerbread bears and tree. Cute little kit that let you make the gingerbread, bake it, ice, then paint with edible paint. Cal thought there needed to be people or bears around their house this year.

Decorating their house. It is so fun since they can both do the Christmas activities this year.
This is the finished product.

Here they are making Christmas cookies.

We used Christmas cookie cutters.

Cal wanted red icing and Brady wanted white. They both used LOTS of sprinkles!

Our day with Grammy and Kendall

My mom was keeping my niece the week after Thanksgiving, so they came over for a few days for a visit. On Thursday we were supposed to have their picture taken, but the store called and said the computer system was broken, so they cancelled our pictures. They were so cute in their red and my sister had bought them some Christmas p.j.'s, but we will have to try again on another visit.

We still had a very exciting day. We ate at Chick Fil-A then headed to Build A Bear. They all knew exactly what they wanted. Cal has build 2 bears, but this was Brady and Kendall's first bear. Kendall made a mouse with mouse p.j.'s (so cute), Brady made a camo bear with batman p.j.'s (of course) and Cal made the Frosty the Snowman with a rocker tee and black pants and ice-skates (hilarious).

We left Build A Bear and went to ride the little train that rides around Santa. After a fun train ride they ran over to get in line to see Santa. Kendall had not wanted to sit with Santa before, but since the boys were with her she wanted to sit in his lap. Cal and Brady got in his lap first and she was upset, so Cal sat below them.

After Santa we headed to the carousal. Kendall and Brady picked out horses beside each other and Cal was able to ride in the spinning thing that he loves with some bigger boys. After the carousal we headed to the Cookie Company then on the way out we let them play a few games at the arcade and by that time mom and I were about to drop and it was time to go home!!!!!!

Thanksgiving

We had a very nice and relaxing Thanksgiving this year at Big Canoe. My sister drove down from Wisconsin and brought the cold weather with her. Even though it was cold we had a great time. The boys are old enough to go out in the woods and explore and had the best time. This picture was taken after lunch. We are all very full and happy!

It's Cal that didn't want his picture taken this time

My baby lost a tooth

Cal has had a loose tooth for a month or so now and the other tooth was growing in behind the loose one. It was ready to come out. Matt had told him he would pull it, but I sort of thought that it was his first tooth, it should come out on its own. Well.........we were at Matt's office last Monday the 23rd and all the sudden Cal asked if Matt could pull his tooth. I could not argue, we were at the dentist! Ha!
Here is his before picture. I do have a little tear!

Here is Matt with the tooth in his hand. After just one little pull.

Two proud boys!!!!!!!

After

We have realized there is much debate over the tooth fairy rate these days (Cal's teacher this year left her son $25). Our tooth fairy left $5. It was obviously a good amount, because as soon as he woke up he ran out with his $5 and insisted we call Matt and let him know.

Oh, part of these pictures are from my iPhone and part of them are from Mrs. Diane's camera. That means that I (I mean Matt when I say "I" and my friend Rosemary) have figured out how to get my pictures from my phone onto the computer for me to upload.

A Few Pics

I love this picture! Cal dressed himself. I LOVE the visor and the flip-flops.
We went to the park to feed ducks on Sunday. The weather was perfect.
This is what Brady thinks about having his picture taken.

They love the weather!

Not really a good picture, but everyone always talks about his eye-lashes.
You can see them pretty good in this picture.

***************************************************************
This is in Atlanta at my mom's. My sister and niece Kendall were in town. Mom took them on a "hike".

You can barely see Cal, but he is in the leaves. This is all he has talked about for weeks.
We don't have any leaves here, but he knows it is fall and he should be playing in leaves.

Again, not really wanting his picture taken.

I told Kendall and Brady to hug. Brady said "no"! Kendall was going to make him hug her.

Cal was so excited about the leaves that he was willing to rake his own leaves to jump into.

Halloween Fun

We had so much fun with Halloween this year. We had several occasions to dress-up this year. The pictures start with Halloween then the others are the 2 other times we were able to dress-up. Brady was certain that he was going to be Batman this year, which was totally predictable because on any given day he with tell you "I BATMAN"! The Thursday before Halloween Cal had on a Knight's helmet and Brady wanted one, the only other helmet we had was a football helmet, which lead into the whole football player outfit, which he wore for the rest of the day. Cal on the other hand loves costumes and takes picking one out very serious. We went to Party City and he first looked at the Star Wars costumes, but when he asked Matt and I what his "accessory" aka "new weapon" would be, I said " you already have a light saber at home." That was the end of the Star Wars idea. He then asked for the Wolverine costume, again asking what accessory could he get, my answer, "his hands are his accessory". Again, a return for the poor Party City guy. The next pick is an Ice Wolf Ninja, when the guy brings it out he tells Cal they have the Ice Wolf Staff (which also turns into 2 ice swords)..... SOLD!!!!!! Now let me explain that for the 2 other events we went to he refused to wear this year's costume because it was a secret until Halloween, so he wore 2 costumes from last year that were too small. Then we get to Halloween night and he wants nothing to do with the mask or staff/sword that he was so worried about in the first place. We had a wonderful time joining some friends for trick or treating.

This is Brady on Sunday getting a closer look at his candy.
