Cupcakes and Turtle's

Is anyone else tired this week?  We have NOT adjusted to going back to school this week.  I have yet to get the boys to bed on time this week, which has made them tired and fussy!  The weather is so nice here that it is hard to make the boys come in, eat, take a bath and go to bed!  We went to visit friends Monday night by bike, had baseball and Matt's birthday dinner Tuesday, Matt left for Atlanta last night and tonight we had baseball again and then the boys and I went to eat since I was not about to cook something at 6:30.  I will try to do better next week.

Cal had ALL of Spring Break to decide what he wanted to take on Monday for snack bucket and for show and tell.  His options were any of his art he did Monday, Tuesday or Wed., pictures from the nature center, or the turtle we found in the garage (after we got home from the nature center).  He wanted to take the turtle, but I had to ask his teacher, since there is a rule about "no live animals" for show and tell.  BUT it seems another little boy had brought a snake a few weeks back.  I talked to his teacher and she said as long as it was contained he could bring it.

Cal REALLY wanted to take a snack that no one else had brought yet.  He wanted to make a cake.  I talked him into cupcakes.  From there, he wanted "orange".  I found these cute sunshine cupcakes.  He thought they were a great idea.

We will call these "You Are My Sunshine Cupcakes"!

Matt turned 37 on Tuesday.  Brady and I met him for lunch at Panera then Matt's mom had us over for dinner.  We had Mexican for dinner and yummy cupcakes for dessert.  The cupcakes were yummy!  Key Lime and Dark Chocolate Cherry.

Yes, he is trying both flavors out and saying "this is good"!

"Daddy, are you going to buy ME a Lego set with your birthday $$$$?"

Look how happy Brady is here, he falls backwards out of the chair right after this.  Cal wanted to get Matt binoculars(to replace the pair Brady broke).  I tell Matt this.  He says, "you know why he does don't you?"  Me, "NO."  He wants my golf range finder and thinks if I get binoculars, I will give him my range finder so he can be an "Army Snipper."

Happy Birthday honey!

We are headed to meet Matt in Atlanta tomorrow after lunch.  Happy Weekend to All!
