Weekend/Birthday Fun

This is Cal and his "girlfriend" (from his class last year), Avery. Their birthday's are 4 days apart and they were able to do their birthday chapel together again this year. During birthday chapel, the birthday children stand at the front of chapel and everyone sings a birthday blessing song to them. It is a big deal and really sweet.

Cal getting his soccer trophy. Thankfully the games are short because it was our first really cold a.m. After the soccer game, we headed to Avery's birthday party at the bowling alley.

The boys wanted to paint their pumpkins rather than carve them. They both took their painting very serious. Brady just told me what he wanted his to look like.

Happy Birthday Cal! We spent the day at the pumpkin patch. So much fun. First they made butter, seriously :). Below is the picture of the "cow train" that was pulled by a tractor. The next picture is of sandboxes of dried corn. They ate lunch then went to the petting farm. After the farm, they loaded up on a hay ride and went out to the pumpkin patch to pick their pumpkin.

I can't believe my baby is 5!!!!!!!!!!

After school Cal asked if he could have a friend over to play and to go get a cookie from the Cookie Co.

One of our Mexican restaurants had Sponge Bob from 6-8 last night. A perfect place to celebrate a 5th birthday for a child who could care less about food, but who does love characters. Cal had a great time. We left dinner and Cal received the Wii game he had been wanting. He ended the day playing Wii with his daddy. A perfect day for the birthday boy.
